Whether you are an avid gardener, water sports enthusiast, bike rider, or a team sports fan, this is the time of year we get out there and start feeling the joy of movement. That joy can get a little dimmer when we are faced the aches and pains of movements we aren’t used to just yet. Getting started with any type of exercise or movement can lead to some serious muscle aches, and if we aren’t careful, it can also lead to injury.
The most common injuries we see in our office include knee and ankle sprains, low back strains, and shoulder issues. These are just a few of the ones I saw in one day this week! The best way to care of these issues is to be proactive with your health care routines, listen to your body and know when you have reached your limit. Sometimes you go beyond the limit before you know it and get an injured, but when your body is in good health you can heal faster.
Proper nutrition, regular Chiropractic in Kirkland, and good stretching will help us all stay active with our favorite activities, recover faster when we have too much fun, and maybe even have the confidence to try new things.
