Calling All Warriors
This month we have talked about the various ways that activity can cause us injury. The truth is, life is going to happen and with that there are going to be ups and downs. The best thing we can do to keep us going is to focus on our health and prepare our response if an injury does happen.
From working in the yard to working on our physique, we can cause our body to ache and creak. Keeping our postures in the right position will help us to avoid these “old age” pit falls at any age, and the proper care will help us maintain good posture. Knowing what it feels to truly feel good will help us understand when we have pushed our body too far and won’t allow us to accept anything less than our best.
Taking care of ourselves every day instead of waiting for problem to show up is how we avoid the big problems and recover from the small problems faster. Stretching is one of the most underrated ways to care for our body. Remembering to stretch daily whether we are working all day, exercising, traveling, or just having a rest day. Muscles get tight in all these cases and when muscles are too tight, they will cause subluxations that present to be more of a problem. Regular chiropractic care clears subluxations that lead to nerve interference and damage.
When we do get injured, some peoples first thought is to NOT go to the Chiropractor, but it is important to get checked to make sure we do the right form of treatment. Making sure the body can heal the best is key to a full and speedy recovery.
